The HKD 100,000 High Roller buy-in proved to be profitable when he knocked out 20 other entries winning first place. The main prize of HDK $809,000 (USD $103,669) puts his winning career over $1.5 million. Playing against fellow pros Tom Dwan and Patrik Antonius whom he previously has went up against live and on the Internet. Ironically it was Dwan who tipped him off on the tournament and staked Karr the entry fee. After kicking Dwan out in tenth position, Dwan may now be kicking himself for cluing Karr in.
