The Latin American Poker Tour sponsored by Poker Stars concluded this past weekend after day four of the main event.
There were 422 entries that ended with 8 places that paid at the final table that lasted four-and-a-half hours.
Uruguay's Alex Komaromi entered the final table as chip leader and ended in a heads up battle against Argentina's Claudio Piedrabuena.
Komaromi claimed victory after an all-in call by Piderabuena and won first place for $244,720 leaving his opponent runner up for $141,220.
This was the first time for a LAPT championship win for an Uruguayan.
