Update: WSOP Main Event About to Reach Final Table

Day 7 sees only 22 survivors On July 18, 57 survivors returned to the World Series of Poker main event tables to battle for the participation in Day 8. The day was to last for 5 two-hour levels or until the play reaches 18 players. It turned out that the first option was about to happen, leaving just 22 players in contention. By the end of the first level, notable bust outs included Matt Kay, Stefan Huber, Jody Howe, Andrew Brokos, Per Linde, Zohair Karim, Sebastian Ruthenberg and Minh Nguyen. Other notable eliminations were that of Andrew Henrichsen (23rd), Greg Kaplan (24th), Jerry Strydonck (25th), JP Kelly (26th) and Kyle Johnson (27th), then the last woman in the competition, Erika Moutinho, Tony Hachem, Andrew Brokos, David Sands, Erick Lindgren and Steve Brecher. As for big wins, the most notable was that the 20 million one by Anton Makievskyi against Chris Moore, which positioned him as chip leader on 21,045,000 when the play was stopped at level 31. Some other familiar names going into Day 8 include Makievsky's closest rivals Eoghan O'Dea on 19,050,000 and Khoa Nguyen on 16,435,00, as well as Ben Lamb who is still in the top ten on 14,690,000, Ryan Lenaghan, on 10,415,000, Lars Bonding, Bryan Devonshire, Phil Colliins and Sam Barnhart.
