PKR Player Sees Good Luck

A stake of $1.18 turned into $26,111 An announcement came this week from the popular UK 3D online poker site PKR, reporting of a success achieved by a player 'Vizdy' who placed a stake of just $1.81 and took down PKR's biggest Saturday night prize with a victory in the $100,000 PKR Masters. The player field involved 422 entrants, all outplayed by the Gateshead-based punter, who earned himself $26,111 for his effort. The final table also included former Masters champion Kusken777, Barkieboy who scored a win on the PKR Sunday High Roller event the following day, sweplatte and Ratmanloco who initially held the chip lead. The heads-up saw a clash between Vizdy and sweplatte, who took a High Roller title the night before. However, this did not intimidate Vizdy, who finished off his opponent in 21 hands, leaving him with a prize of $15,666. According to PKR community manager Dan Grant, “It's absolutely fantastic when we see somebody just come from nowhere to put their name up in lights. There wouldn't have been many fancying Vizdy going into the final table but he showed what he was all about and beat off some big names. I'd be pretty sure that was the best $1.81 he has ever spent.”
