High stakes online poker action continues to draw interest
This has been another week of frenetic action at PokerStars, where high stakes poker brought much more thrill as bulks of money kept changing hands between big names.
Probably the biggest surprise was a mainly live tourney player Rafi Amit, who made a hefty sum of $592 000, bringing his balance to $1.29 million on the online poker giant.
Then, there was the reputable and always interesting to watch Finn, Ilari Sahamies, who is up $736 000 this year, but this week he saw a serious drop of $200 000.
However, the biggest earnings this season were noted in the balance of Swedish online pro Andreas “Skjervoy” Torbergsen, who reached some $1.4 million on Pokerstars this year.
In addition, here's a list of the top 5 winners this week: Amit: +$592,000; Axelf82: +$247,000; socutiesf: +$210,000; Sahamies: +$202,000; and Jedlicka: +$200,000.
On the other side, the biggest losers were Phil Galfond: - $273,000; Rui Cao: - $216,000; Ben “milkybarkid” Grundy: - $208,000; Zypherin: - $207,000; and Sussie Smith: - $153,000.
