Danish poker pro takes down the massive first prize
Impressive names among the 1,627 entrants to the $5,200 buy-in 2011 PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker main event weren't enough to intimidate Danish poker master Thomas "Kallllle" Pedersen, who proved his quality in the fierce competition and left the competition with a title and the main prize.
He took the lion's share in the massive prize pool of $8,135,000, outplaying Ramzi Jelassi, VadziMoney, Vojtech Rusika, Mike Leah, Whysosrsson, jlego and Nick Hahn at the final table.
In the heads-up he defeated Vojtech "Vojta_R" Ruzicka, who left the competition with the runner up prize of $710,000.
This was the closing competition for this year's WCOOP, which generated over $47 million in prizes across 62 events.
