Update: EPT London Goes to German Pro
Big check for a big win The main event of the 2011 edition of the European Poker Tour London has been finished with a magnificent win of German poker pro Benny Spindler, who at the beginning of the final table held a lower chip stack than leaders Martin Adeniya and Mattias Bergstrom, but nevertheless managed to outplay them and claim the major prize. In the heads-up, he had a fierce encounter with US pro Steve O'Dwyer, who still could not match Spindler's aggressive play and had to settle with the runner-up prize of GBP 465 000. As for Spindler, he received his biggest career win yet, collecting a winner's check for GBP 750 000, which brings his career winnings to around $4 million. An interesting fact is that this is Spindler's third consecutive cash in the EPT London Main Event; he finished 12th in 2009 and 68th in 2010.
