New Doyle's owner confident about tourney's success
An announcement came this week from the new owner of the online poker venue Doyles Room, Americas Cardroom, that it is organizing its first major tournament, Americas Cardroom Online Super Series (ACROSS),.
The tournament will be held in November for six days, during which it will feature 19 Hold'em and Omaha events, with a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000, of which $50,000 will be used for the main event.
The company, which operates on the increasingly popular Yatahay Poker Network, will also run a number of promotions due to the tournament, such as a contest that awards free tournament seats to the top 10 players to cash in the series; a $1 000 freeroll seat for every player who cashes more than once in the series; and a Frequent Player Points award for each player who finishes a tournament on the bubble.
