Punta Cana Poker Classic Goes to Kirlopoulos
Punta Cana tourney goes to Canadian player for the second time This has been a very good week for a Canadian player Demo Kirlopoulos, who scored a win at the second edition of the Punta Cana Poker Classic. This made him the second Canadian to take down the tournament, as the same achievement was made last year by fellow Canadian Peter Cross. As for the Punta Cana main event final table, it comprised: Jose de le Guardia, Engelberth Varela, Carlos Sobenes, William Wellman, Jose Barria, Demo Kilopoulos, Greg Bastin (who finished third), Evan Mauer and Jessica Bedoya. In the active yet long heads-up, he defeated a US player Evan Mauer, and took home the first prize of $136,949, leaving his worthy opponent with the runner up prize of $82,791.
