UK Pro Takes Down Greek Poker Tourney
EUR347,000 for Zimnan Ziyard This weekend saw the end of the Pokerstars European Poker Tour Loutraki in Greece, which was won by UK poker pro Zimnan Ziyard who in return got his biggest career payout to date at EUR347,000. Ziyard outplayed a pool of 336 entrants from 38 nations. He was predominant when he reached the final table, whose chip stack looked as follows: Ziyard at 2.77 million, John Taramas 1,755,000; Hauke Heseding 1,660,000; Mario Puccini 1,077,000; Pierre Mothes 1,073,000; Florian Schleps 850,000; Charalampos Kapernopoulos 749,000; and Andras Kovacs 210,000. In the heads-up he clashed with a German pro Hauke Heseding, who was quite a tough nut to crack. However, after a two-hour play, even though it was so close that a dealer count had to settle the winner issue, Heseding had to part with the main prize and settle with his second placing pay check of EUR221,800. The next stop is the EPT Prague.
