Everleaf Pushed to Withdraw from US?

New terms and conditions may be due to the enforcement actions in the States A new set of terms and conditions has been introduced by Everleaf Gaming poker network, which this week prompted its players to accept the new T&Cs, based on which the network appears to ban players from Malta, France and the United States. According to its new T&Cs' clause 18, "No person who is resident in Malta, France and USA may open an account, play, or in any other way participate in the ELG offerings and/or services." The decision reportedly arrives after discussions with the Everleaf's licensing authority, the LGA in Malta, and it is speculated that it may have been triggered by the fact that the US authorities are still conducting witch hunt against online poker venues operating in the country. So far, the network was not precisely diligent in explaining players how the exclusions will be handled in account closing and financial terms, and it also seems that US action on the network is continuing. At the moment, more clarification is expected from both Everleaf and LGA, which under pressure from the US may go on and push other US-friendly online poker providers licensed on the island to cease the activities in the States. Still, Everleaf is more vulnerable to Malta than many others, because its servers are on the island, whereas, for example, the Merge Network which holds both Malta and Kahnawake licensing, has its servers outside the Malta jurisdiction.
