Sources Claim iPoker Network Could Be Split
No confirmation from the network An allegation that arrived this week caused a big stir in the industry, as it involves claims by unidentified sources that Playtech's iPoker network, which comprises some 40 brands, could be split, in which case the major brands would form their own separate player pool. Some of the major brands take part in the network, including Titan Poker, William Hill, BetFred, Paddy Power and Bet365, and as it appears, these larger companies seek to separate themselves from the other brands on the network. It has been reported that Playtech is actually considering this possibility. This would not be the first time such a move takes place; prior to this, Ongame opted for operating a 'super' network within its network comprised of major brands like Betsson, Betsafe and Betfair. So far, no comment regarding the matter has arrived from iPoker or Playtech.
