The deal comes to fruition
According to the latest announcement of Chili Gaming founder and chief Alexandre Dreyfus to the company affiliates, his Playtech-iPoker-powered site Chili Poker is closing as it has merged with another iPoker site Poker770.
The announcement advised:
Following the exciting news about Chiligaming joining forces with the public listed company Bally Technologies, the company will now be refocusing its energies mainly in US and regulated markets.
We are therefore pleased to announce that as from 01.03.12, Chilipoker.com will merge with Poker770 to offer its players more amazing promotions and better bonuses".
In addition, affiliates were informed that their accounts on the 'Share the Chili' affiliate program will be moved to the Poker770 system, and that they will receive commission for players referred to Chilipoker up until the 29th of February.
Further on, Chilipoker affiliate accounts will be migrated to Pokergains, the affiliate program that represents Poker770.
The migration will be completed by March 3, Dreyfus stated, assuring affiliates that their players will "...not have to worry about a thing, the [player migration] process will be quick and automatic, they will just have to log in the Chilipoker software and the update wizard will update automatically."
However, there was no mention in his statement of Playtech-powered Chilicasino, whose future will obviously stay a mystery for now.
