Rake calculations and VIP rewards changes still cause rebellion After the changes introduced by online poker giant PokerStars to its rake calculations and VIP rewards, the consecutive rebellion among players and finally, successful negotiations between the online poker provider and player representatives, PokerStars was true to its word about hosting a bi-annual meeting in April and November where players' issues will be discussed. Therefore, player representatives from a number of internet poker forums were invited to attend the meetings, which will be held on April 11 through April 13, 2012 at its headquarters in the Isle of Man. Some of the themes at the meeting include receiving player feedback on any issues, clarifying the company's reasoning behind certain decisions it takes and cultivating a better communication channel with players. With this initiative, PokerStars will definitely set the bar regarding customer relationships, which it has taken to a wholly new level.
