The project forms part of the strategy of Gordon's new company, Washington state-based Jawfish Games, and it has been reported that the company recently landed $885,000 in seed capital from Right Side Capital and other angel investors, which will be used to build out Jawfish's unique online gaming tournament platform. The first game was presented a few weeks ago, under the name Word Joust. According to Gordon, “We're well on our way to proving that tournaments are sticky and fun for players.” He also added that new features and enhancements are in the pipeline for the game. On board for the project, Gordon has brought some impressive names, such as one of Zynga's founders, Kyle Stewart, and Jon Mittelhauser - a founding engineer on the Netscape project.
