First iSeriesLIVE Poker Tournament Goes to Dempsey
UK poker champion wins a Euro 100,000 take-home in Dublin The inaugural iSeriesLIVE tournament in Dublin was marked by the success of the UK poker star James "Flushy" Dempsey who managed to obtain winner-takes-all, $10,000 buy-in, in face of fierce competition. This event, created by Brian Balsbaugh, the Poker Royalty chief, was the first of its kind enabling live stream and commentary, in parallel to placing live bets on players, the action and propositions via the Paddy Power website and mobile facility. Apart from the winner, additional 9 best international players joined the tournament including also Maria Ho, Faraz Jaka, Devilfish Ulliott, Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Carlos Mortenson. Surprisinglly, Phil Hellmuth, was busted out by Daniel Negreanu at the early stages of the competition, not having a chance to display his usual skill and good fortune. Dempsey played against Dave Ulliott for the highest stake, as Maria Ho was previously sent home in third. According to the reports, the event was well supported with various online activities, ensuring equal amount of fun and excitement for those who attended tournament in person, as well as for the internet attendees.
