EPT Berlin Goes to Belgian Pro
Davidi Kitai takes home his biggest career win yet This weekend saw the end of the new European Poker Tour Berlin, where the triumph was scooped by 32-year-old Davidi Kitai of Belgium, who beat 745 entry field to the Euro 712,000 main prize, achieving his biggest career win yet. Apart from the money, he won a seat at the season-ending Euro 100,000 free-roll Champions of Champions Event, and a Shamballa bracelet worth more than Euro 10,000. At the final table sat Kitai, Andrew Chen (Canada); Andre Morath, Mario Puccini and Bahadir Kilickeser of Germany; César García (Spain); Marc Wright (Britain) and Pratyush Buddiga from the United States. In the heads-up, Kitai played vs. 24-year-old Canadian Andrew Chen who agreed to a two-way chop that gave them Euro 632,000 and Euro 613,000 respectively, leaving Euro 80,000 for the eventual winner. Chen was a strong opponent, but not strong enough for formidable Kitai, who defeated him and left him with a runner-up prize of Euro 613,000.
