A lucrative take-home of Euro 231,000
This past week was a really good one for online and live tournament poker ace Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier who bested the field of 57 players and won his third European Poker Tour High Roller event and claimed the Euro 231,000 main prize at EPT Berlin.
Some of the names he outplayed at the tournament were those of Chris Moorman, who was the chip leader for much of the game, Viktor Blom, Tobias Renkemeier, David Peters and Marvin Rettenmaier.
At the final table, he faced Moorman, Marvin Rettenmaier, David Peters, Tobias Reinkemeier, Oleh Okhotskyi, Viktor Blom and Martin Jacobson.
In the heads up, he defeated Moorman, who at the beginning held a 2 to 1 chip advantage. However, this soon melted, thanks to three spectacular all-ins of the Frenchman, who left his opponent with the runner up prize of Euro 145,200.
