Another Data Mining Site Drops PokerStars Data
Row with PTR causes Poker Edge to back off After the threats of legal action against data-mining company Poker Table Ratings, which saw the company dropping the stats from the giant operator PokerStars, another similar site, Poker-Edge, seems to have felt threatened by the online poker giant. Namely, it has joined PTR and removed PokerStars from the list of supported poker rooms. It's quite clear that PokerStars is aware of Poker-Edge and its activities, as it has already black-listed both the company and its software. In addition, many industry observers claim that Poker-Edge is a thorn in PokerStars' eye because it provides data that Pokerstars claims is its own, and presents a forum that discusses how players can circumvent Pokerstars defensive systems designed to flag Poker-Edge incursions.
