Orinic Withdraws Alderney Licence Application
FTP subsidiary appears to have no more interest in a class 2 AGCC licence Recently submitted application for a Class 2 Alderney Gaming Control Commission licence by Full Tilt Poker subsidiary Orinic Limited indicated that FTP was about to be resurrected by Groupe Bernard Tapie. Suddenly this week everything has changed when Tapie withdrew from the acquisition provoking rumours about PokerStars taking its place as the front runner. Subsequently, the AGCC announced that Orinic had recalled its application, therefore public hearing on the application scheduled for May 3rd had been cancelled. No official reasons for the Orinic withdrawal has been given, and rumors suggest that public objections were going to form part of the hearing.
