43rd World Series of Poker kicks off with Casino Employees event
On May 27, the 2012 World Series of Poker kicked off with the start of the Casino Employees event.
It all began with the Tournament Director Jack Effel and veteran poker dealer Richard Turnbull giving the traditional 'shuffle up and deal' call which saw the $500 buy-in event launched and a field of over 750 players begin the battle at the Rio in Las Vegas.
May 28 will be marked by the start of the first event open to all comers around noon Las Vegas time.
