The World Poker Tour's Montreal stop saw its grand finale this week, when the main event was taken down by Canadian Jonathan Roy.
The winner was decided in a heads-up between Canadians Roy and Pascal Lefrancois, with Roy emerging the victor and the best of a massive field of 1 173 players.
Commenting on his win, which brought him the title, trophy, a WPT silver belt and a CDN$779 710 prize, Roy said: “This is incredible – the support here was amazing, the crowd really wanted to keep the title in Quebec and I am so happy to have done that.”
As for the other final table payouts, they were the following:
