The Aussie Millions High Roller event with a buy-in of $100,000 paid off for poker pro Andrew Robl who dared to re-up and finished in the first place to claim the $1 million main prize and a good ROI.
This year 21 players entered the competition, including successful pros like Vanessa Selbst, Dan Shak and Tobias Reinkemeier. By the time the final table was reached Andrew and the above trio were joined by Russian ace Igor Kurganov, Masa Kagawa, and Niklas Heniecker, and only the top four were to cash.
After two days of highly competitive action, the heads up duo was Robl vs. Kurganov. Robl was holding the lead and was certainly using it to first dominate and then defeat his opponent.
Kurganov went home with a runner prize of $610,000; Masa Kagawa claimed the third place with $320,000, and Dan Shak finished fourth on $237,000.
