Great Interest in This Year’s Pokerstars TCOOP!
Even though the initial guarantee was $15 million, the Pokerstars 2013 Turbo Championship of Online Poker saw a record-breaking $24 million generated for the 50 events. This is much higher than in 2012, when the TCOOP paid out a total of $19.7 million. In the main event, the player pool of 5,060 hopefuls boosted the prize pool for this event to $3.3 million; of this amount, the final seven players received six-figure paydays. Similarly, in the TCOOP High Roller, $2,100 buy-in event, 1,095 entered the competition generating a prize pool of $2.19 million, of which the biggest prize went to a German who bested the field - $383,000. As for the TCOOP online Player of the Year, the honors went to a Danish online punter, who managed to participate in as many as 46 out of the 50 events, and won a 2014 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure package worth $16,500.
