Lock Poker Partitioned High Stakes on Revolution Network
Following the exchanges between a Lock Poker representative and poker players on the twoplustwo poker information web page, it transpired that the Revolution Network where Lock is the main skin has allowed it to separate its higher stakes from other tables on the network. Reportedly, such new policy has been silently applied since early February affecting mostly 1/2, 2/4 and up tables. The confirmation ensued several days after implementation by the Lock Poker spokesman Shane Bridges who said: "We have partitioned some of our higher stakes [tables] based on our current size and our soft poker ecology to better care for our players.” The initial statement by the Bridges was followed by more posts suggesting that Lock's strategy is to achieve a better balance between "grinders" and casual or recreational players so as to promote more stable and healthier "poker ecology". This concept is widely known for being already extensively debated and employed by other networks over the last few years. After the last year's acquisition of the Cake Poker Network, Lock Poker - formerly a part of the Merge network - re-branded it as Revolution Poker Network ensuring it maintains control in terms of management and size.
