Update: FTP US Players See Ray of Hope, Administrator Appointed by DoJ
Great news arrived this week for US-based Full Tilt Poker players who are owed monies - the US Department of Justice may soon be able to pay them the millions it's been holding from the PokerStars settlement, as this week it has appointed an independent Claims Administrator to handle the project. With the third party administrator in place, players can hope to get their payments soon, the Department said, specifying that the Garden City Group has been selected as Claims Administrator and that company has already launched a website for FTP players who wish to lodge claims on fulltiltpokerclaims (.com). In a statement he issued regarding the new development, Preet Bharara, the chief Black Friday prosecutor from the US Attorney Office for the Southern District of New York, said: “The Garden City Group brings a track record of handling the administration of some of the country's largest and most complicated settlements. “With their selection, we take a significant step forward in the process of compensating victims of the Full Tilt Poker scheme.”
