Nevada Gaming Commission Interested in Interstate Possibilities
This week the Nevada Gaming Commission published a "Request for Comment" on widening the internet poker offering of its licensees through interstate compacts with other jurisdictions. In the "Request for Comment" the question was raised regarding topics that the Board and Commission should consider putting in regulation relating to an interstate agreement on interactive gaming. Should revenue sharing between signatory states to a compact be based on the location of where the wager originated? Why or why not? - these are only some of the questions posted in the request. It seems very important to address revenue sharing between signatory states and whether it would be based on the location of the licensed interactive host, as well as what might be a relevant legal support. Relevant legal support is also asked in case whether the regulatory body of the signatory state where the wager originated have control over player disputes related to players in question. After comments are submitted, regulatory language will be drafted and considered at a workshop yet to be scheduled. The Commission's Executive Secretary will accept the comments until April 12, 2013 and post them online and replies will then be accepted until April 19, 2013.
