APAT World Championship of Amateur Poker Starts this Week
The APAT World Championship of Amateur Poker (WCOAP) will be held at The Dusk Till Dawn club in Nottingham. The event will begins Thursday 28th March through to Monday 1st April and will feature 10 events with reasonable buy-ins. This is the 6th year for the WCOAP which will begin with the £100+£10 WCOAP World Amateur Team Championship at 17:00 followed by the £50+£5 WCOAP Stud Championship at 18:00. Additional events are a no limit Hold'em Six Max tournament, a H.O.R.S.E event, an Omaha tournament and a heads-up championship. 405 players participated in the £100+£10 “Main Event” and generated a prize pool of £42,930. Dave “No Shoes” Garden came out on top against Andrew Duffin and received the WCOAP trophy and £12,092 in prize money. The winners of the annual APAT Awards will be announced on the final evening, while the player of the WCOAP will also be recognized at that time. There is plenty of interest and attention focused on the 2013 Main Event. Seats to the event are available up until 30 minutes prior to the start time. Any seats that have not been reserved will be available live at the Dusk Till Dawn cash desk.
