Update: Code Reviser Returns Proposal, Attack on Washington Online Gambling Ready!
Since their initial proposal has returned from the official Code Reviser, poker player Curtis Woodward and his associates can now launch their attack on draconian Washington state anti-online gambling laws. Namely, they submitted two voter proposals to the Code Reviser, seeking language approval for measures designed to overthrow anti-online poker laws and legalize the pastime, or moderate the severe C-class felony penalties imposed by the state at the moment. It appears that Woodard plans to lobby Washington state politicians, use social networking vehicles and push forward a petition in order to make the state Legislature introduce the necessary changes, suggest alternatives or do nothing so the measures can go to the annual state ballot of voters in November. He is also looking for volunteers to help him on his quest, and any willing participants can address the waipokernow (dotcom) site for details.
