Nevada Residents Needed to Test WSOP Software
The World Series of Poker plans to launch its real money online poker product and needs Nevada residents 21 and over to test the software. They made the announcement recently but this won't be a paid gig. “By joining the WSOP.com beta program, you will be among the first players to experience the WSOP.com online poker platform,” according to the official announcement. Owned by Caesars Entertainment Corp., WSOP has a reputation as one of, if not the most, prestigious poker tournaments worldwide. WSOP got its start in Sin City at Binion's Horseshoe and has since become a global sensation and the ultimate career move for professional poker players. From its days in Vegas, the tournament travels around the world attracting a wide range of players with its esteemed bracelet events. In 2012, Caesars Interactive Entertainment was given the green light to operate an online gambling site in Nevada. Caesars found themselves without the software and technology to enter the online gaming arena so they have built a partnership 888 Holdings who already has a poker client of their own. At this time there is no specific date as to when WSOP will have its cash games up and running in the US. The word is that it will be “coming soon.”
