Blair Hinkle wins the title at WSOP Circuit Council Bluffs making it the second time he won this event. He knocked out 367 players and took the $121,177 first place prize.
Hinkle, 27, won the same event in 2010 for $88,566 and is now considered the first man in WSOPC history to win the same event twice.
“Coming into the final table, my mom mentioned story lines for the reporters. I thought this would be a good one so I tried to make it happen”, said Hinkle.
Blair Hinkle sat at the final table as third in chips. He proceeded to knock out Tim Hughes in 9th ($11,457), Ben Smith in 8th ($14,343) and Mark Bonsack in 4th ($40,627).
In the end it was down to Hinkle and Brendan Waite. Hinkle has taken a total of $1,665,952 in live tournament winnings plus $1,960,895 playing online as Blur5f6.
