PokerStars Macau Main Event Won by Taiwanese Pro

The Pokerstars Macau Red Dragon tournament main event was played over the weekend, when Taiwanese poker pro Terry Fan (30) proved to be the best among a record 891entry field, deservingly earning the main prize of HK$1,771,000 (about $230,000.) The final table saw Fan face Gie Reyes (Philippines); Fei Xie and Wesley Zhu (China); Andy Asihwardji and Ryan Yu from Canada, Fanny Li (USA) and Sailesh Lohia from India. In the heads-up, as well as the final table, Fan held a significant chip lead over runner-up Gie Reyes, who had to settle with a second-placing paycheck worth HK$1,242,000. The event formed part of celebration on the occasion of the opening of the new Pokerstars LIVE Macau at the City of Dreams this week.
