Caesars to go Live with US WSOP Brand
Caesars Entertainment Group plans to take online poker live in Nevada this summer and they will promote their brand during the World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournament in Las Vegas beginning on May 29th. "We anticipate our arrival to be sometime this summer," Seth Palansky, a spokesman for Caesars Interactive said. Caesar's US poker site will be powered by 888 Holdings Plc. The companies already work together offering World Series of Poker websites in the United Kingdom, France and Italy. Just as Ultimatepoker.com does, Caesars will only accept wagers from players within Nevada's state borders. The next state just steps away from going live with online poker is New Jersey and they've released an outline of regulations. There is speculation surrounding Caesars and their plans to launch under the WSOP brand possibly during the tournament. "It's going to become very competitive in a short space of time. There will be more offerings in the market place," said Tobin Prior, chief executive of UltimatePoker.com's parent company Ultimate Gaming. "History from what we understand is that people play at more than one site and have more than one account," he added.
