Experience of New Social Gaming Chief Benefits PokerStars
The presence of a new director of social gaming for Pokerstars, US exec Mark Buser has already been felt, only a couple of months after he joined the company. Prior to this, Buser was an Investor/Advisor at Million Levers, a project aimed at improving retention and conversion rates in online, social and mobile games and apps through data mining and other hi-tech techniques, and before that he was general manager of the Fresh Deck Poker project at Idle Games in the San Francisco area. There he created what he describes as "...the first "real money" ready poker game for Facebook. The game features an awesome mini-game that is virality worth having. The first person view is awesome and is a design that is sure to be copied. Game is awesome on browser, iOS and android." He is a graduate from the All Russian Institute of Aviation Materials (1989 – 1993), the Monterey Institute of International Studies (1984 – 1986) and the University of California, Berkeley (1974 – 1977). His extensive experience will come in handy for PokerStars also because he is fluent in the Russian language and he worked as a translator at one point, thus becoming acknowledged with that market as well.
