“Big One for One Drop” Again on World Series Of Poker
The first Big One for One Drop fund-raiser event at this year's World Series of Poker is scheduled to take place June 26 at noon Vegas time. This is not the first time that WSOP supports One Drop charity, the organization that assists struggling third world communities to get access to clean water. The winners of fund-raising WSOP events also get bracelets, and judging by the experience from the previous years, a good turnout should be expected this year as well. Over the past years, a great many of the cashing players in the charity events were also allocating a part or all of their winnings to the charity. Three percent of the total buy-in amount at the high roller competition Event 47 - NLHE buy-in of $111,111 will go to the charity. The remaining amount will generate a prize pool which is expected to reach $10 million or more. Another fund raising event is planned for July 3 and 4. Event 58 - the 'mini' NLHE version of the Big One which has a buy-in of $1,111 and will include two starting heats and unlimited re-entry through the first four levels each day. The charity will receive $111 from each buy-in to the entry field, which is expected to attract a lot of competitors.
