LGA Malta Suspends Everleaf Poker Network
An announcement came this week from the Lotteries and Gaming Authority of Malta that it has suspended Everleaf Poker Network's license. After finally losing its cool with the long-suffering network, the LGA specified that the suspension also carries a requirement that the operator desists from offering any games licensed by Malta and may not register new players or take any fresh player deposits. Claiming that it has been involved in a protracted investigation of the Everleaf case, the LGA said: “Everleaf Gaming Limited is not authorised to continue conducting gaming by means of distance communications under an Authority Licence.” However, this is not necessarily good news for players, who are unlikely to get any help from the regulator, judging by the previous experiences such as the one with the Purple Lounge poker disaster. Still no response has arrived from Everleaf about its license suspension, and its future seems to be pretty uncertain at this point.
