FTOPS Comes to a Close
This week ended the main event of the 23rd edition of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) with a German player "Itahaschi" taking down 3,326 competitors in the $635 buy-in event; however not walking away with the most cash. "Itahaschi" may have been the overall winner taking home $270,828 but runner up "DiaperSniper14" from Canada took $301,118 as a result of a three way chop as the heads up stage of the game neared. The $1.5 million guaranteed prize pool was boosted to $1.9 million due to the high turnout. This was a great end to the 38 event tournament that came to a close on Sunday. Sunday also featured the FTOPS $2,100 buy-in NLHE Re-Entry with almost 600 online players and took 2 days to determine. Toby "sexystuff1989" Lewis and Clark "Snake8484" Hamagami went up against one another in the heads up, with Hamagami hoping to win as he had done in the Pokerstars Sunday Million but Lewis won the event. Lewis banked the highest prize of his career to date, $253,063 and Hamagami took the number 2 spot with a $223,141 win.
