888 Plans to Move into Three More States


888 chief executive Brian Mattingley revealed the company's intentions to enter the California, New York and Florida online gambling markets after upcoming launches in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware.

The delays in nailing down online gambling legislation in the US delayed Mattingley's plans. 888's online poker partnership with Caesars Interactive is set to be unveiled in Nevada with hopes that Delaware and New Jersey following within six months.

'It really is new territory for them [the US regulators],' he said. 'It's been a long slow journey but it's getting faster."
