The Nevada Gaming Commission plans to review online poker regulations at its Las Vegas meeting next win but the material is said to cover technical and legislative and not plans for expansion.
According to chairman A.G. Burnett, widening the Nevada market to include other forms of gambling will not be discussed as online poker has only been available for six months and the results are yet to be seen.
The Commission may take a look at creating player pools with other states.
Nevada Assembly Majority Leader William Horne said: “I believe our intent from the outcome was to take conservative steps. Nothing prohibits (the control board) from going beyond poker and we want our regulatory boards to make that decision. I think we're taking prudent steps.”
