PokerStars Contributes to Philippine Rescue Efforts Via Helping Hands Program
PokerStars has created the Helping Hands program to support the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines which raised $100,000 within 48 hours. PokerStars intends to match the money raised by players equally. Owner of PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, Rational Group, added options within its poker clients making it simple for players to donate. On Friday Rational tweeted: "Thank you! Over $100,000 has been raised for #Haiyan victims, an amount we'll double." Rational Group reminds players that victims are still in need of assistance and PokerStars will continue to match contributions.
