Charles Sylvestre Wins WSOP Circuit Main Event

Charles Sylvestre of Quebec, won the WSOP Circuit main event at the Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau. He faced off against a pool of 371 players in the $1,675 buy-in event which generated $556,500 in prizes. Sylvestre made it to the final table along with John Nelson, Dinara Khaziyeva, Sol Bergren, Mike Leah Toronto,Justin Dean, Bryan Moon, Adam Podstawka and Loannis Pentefountas. Sylvestre and John Nelson of the US were in a heads up which saw Nelson in the lead. He was unable to maintain his stack and took the runner up prize of $75,656 while Sylvestre took first place and $122,435 plus entry into the upcoming national championships.
