German Player Wins the European Poker Tour
The European Poker Tour Prague had a playing field of 1,007 entries in the main event. Julian Track from Germany took first place winning €725,000 and is a much wealthier man. It was a long 6 days of contenders and took a solid full day at the final table with Julian Track and Ole Schemion from Germany; Georgios Sotiropoulos from Greece; the UK's Stephen Chidwick and Max Silver; Ka Kwan Lau of Spain; Zdravko Duvnjak from Croatia; and Finland's Jorma Nuutinen. It was Track vs. Sotiropoulos in heads up with the German holding 17.265 million to the Greek's 12.915 million. The two decided to chop meaning each would take Euro 700,000 and leave Euro 25,700 on the table for the winner. It was suggested chip leader Tracker was not feeling well and was the reason he agreed to the chop to end the game quickly. However, the heads up continued for several more hours putting the Greek in a position to double up twice but couldn't quite take down his German component.
