Amaya Gaming Group has responded to "trading activity that may stem from market rumours that have come to the company's attention regarding a potential strategic acquisition"; however it did not mention the rumors specifically regarding its acquisition of PokerStars.
Amaya said it often considers various acquisition opportunities and even enters into discussions with potential companies but there is no guarantee that an acquisition will take place.
The company has not and will not comment further “unless and until it is warranted”.
