Another Federal Draft Bill to Ban US Online Gambling
Washington DC has yet another draft of a bill to federally ban online gambling making its way around to the hands of politicians, according to a report from journalist Jon Ralston on his Ralston Reports website. The draft is available here: http://www.ralstonreports.com/blog/new-poker-only-web-gaming-bill-hits-dc#.U4aNmvkmYeQ The draft is being called the “Internet Gambling Prohibition and Control Act of 2014 and is similar to the Graham-Chaffetz bills. It seeks to ban online poker in addition to interstate horseracing and intrastate lottery transactions. The general opinion regarding the bill is it will likely be unsuccessful with state and corporate opposition not to mention that it is an election year.
