Three WSOP Events Come to a Close this Weekend
Three more WSOP events came to a close this weekend. Event 39 was a $3,000 buy-in NLHE competition that attracted 992 hopefuls with a prize pool of $2,708,160. It ran beyond the scheduled time with Sean Dempsey, Ryan Jackonetti, Jacob Schindler, Ryan Olisav, Ryan LaPlante, Nam Le, Layne Flack, Takashi Yagura and Andrew Becker making it to the final table. Sean Dempsey won his first WSOP bracelet and first prize of $548,460 leaving Jackonetti in second place for a $339,440 win. In Event 40, 25-year-old Davide Suriano won his first bracelet and took first prize of $335,553 in the $10,000 buy-in NLHE championship contest. Event 41, the first $1,500 buy-in Six Handed Dealer's Choice event, drew in 419 hopefuls and a $565,560 prize pool. Robert Mizrachi won his second WSOP bracelet and $147,092.
