Unibet has been announced as the headline sponsor of the 2014 British Poker Awards.
"We're genuinely delighted to have the chance to sponsor the British Poker Awards - the UK is our fastest growing market and being a London-based company, it's a great opportunity for Unibet to get more involved in UK poker," said Martin Stalros, Unibet Head of Poker.
"The BPA is something we look out for at the start of each year and I think most British players would agree that it's the most important annual awards we have for poker. It also happens to be the most entertaining, and we'll be doing our best to make sure that can still be said for at least another year!"
"Unibet is dedicated to British Poker and working hard to put the fun back into poker," said Bluff Europe editor-in-chief Michael Caselli. "This makes them a perfect fit for a ceremony that is the highlight of any player's social calendar."
Votes are still being accepted for players, poker rooms, tournaments and more among a total of 13 categories which will now include a new video category, 'Hand of the Year'.
A panel including PokerNews' Matthew Pitt, PokerStrategy.com's Barry Carter, CalvinAyre.com's Lee Davy, RankingHero's Nicolas Levi, Late Night Poker creator Nic Szeremeta and 'Voice of Poker' Jesse May have selected the nominees.

I actually haven't tryed their new client. I have been told that it is more suitable for amateur players than for real grinders. Since HEM and PT are not able to be used, no real player is going to take unibet serious. I think they were better on Microgaming skin, dunno why they moved from there.

Unibet is good bookie company in sport related games, but in Poker they must improve their position. They must offer new tournaments, to offer more bonuses, and games, and they can climb at my list, but until that moment, I will sty out of their web site. Some others pooker rooms are still better

They can't be number one, they aren't even in top 5.. Unibet needs to offer more to their players, in gaming aspect. They lack good tournaments, their client doesn't support HUd programs. No real grinder wants to play on unibet, and i think that that is the no.1 problem for them.

I think that in next period they can be number one site for online poker. Only site which is better is poker stars and soon I think that could be different becouse unibet...
