Jonathan Jaffe, a 27-year-old online player from the US, took first place in the C$3,500 buy-in World Poker Tour Montreal tournament going home with C$463,432 after the heads up against Ratharam Sivagnanam. There were 732 entrants which dwindled down to a final table including Jaffe, Sivagnanam, Mukul Pahuja, Kevin MacPhee, Samuel Chartier and Guillaume Nolet. Mukul Pahuja was knocked out taking the third place prize of C$201,920 and leaving Jaffe to enter into an 81 hand heads up against Sivagnanam. In the end Sivagnanam took the runner up prize of C$313,318 leaving Jaffe to win his first major live tournament title and career win. Along with his cash prize, Jaffe also won a seat in the $15,000 WPT World Championship in spring 2015.
