WSOP event 42, the first $1,500 buy-in Extended Play NLHE event, came to a close on Wednesday following the extension of the competition an additional day. The event saw 1,914 entrants including top players including Barney Boatman, Antonio Esfandiari, Lisa Hamilton, Blaire Hinkle, Todd Witteles, Ryan Welch, Jonathan Little and Andre Akkari with only Boatman and Konstantin Puchkov scoring bracelets at the final table. 198 players cashed from the $2.58 million prize pool but it was 26-year-old German pro Adrian Apmann that came in first place with $478,102 following a tense heads up against Yehoram Houri of France.
