German Poker Pro Wins EPT High Roller Event
German poker pro Martin Finger took top prize of Euro 865,900 as the winner of the Euro 25,000 buy-in European Poker Tour High Roller event in Barcelona. The two day event generated a massive prize pool of Euro 3,724,000 and came down to the final three, which included Finger, and Mark Teltscher and Liv Boeree of the UK. Boeree was knocked out by Teltscher but took home an impressive Euro 391,000 paycheck. Teltscher and Finger entered into the head-up round with fairly even chip stacks. Teltscher suggested a 2-way chop but Finger wasn't having it. The game was tense for a moment when Teltscher managed to gain an early advantage but in the end it was Finger who was victorious leaving his UK opponent in second place with Euro 586,500. Including this win, Finger's career live tournament winnings have reached over $6 million. Additional final table payouts: Jani Sointula of Finland Euro 320,300 Mike McDonald from Canada Euro 257,000 Isaac Haxton from the USA Euro 199,200 Jeff Rossiter of Australia Euro 147,500 Iacopo Brandi from Italy Euro 108,400
