Chinese poker player Yue Feng Pan was victorious in the 3-day Macau Poker Cup event having won first prize of US$272,000 and the title of China's eighth Red Dragon. Total buy-ins increased the guaranteed prize pool to double the projected amount. When it came down to the final 9, Pan was third in chip stacks but quickly dominated the table. Taipei player Tse Jui Tsai was knocked out in 3rd place for HK$750,000 leaving Pan (chip leader) and fellow Chinese players, Shao Po Liu to enter the heads-up round. In just an hour, Pan sent his opponent home as the runner up with HK$1,239,520.
